School Fete Friday 4th July
School Fete – Friday 4 July – 3:15-5:15
The school fete is fast approaching, preparations are well underway and we are looking forward to welcoming you all for some summer fun! There’ll be traditional games, face painting, tombola (including prizes from local businesses), a bake sale and a BBQ. We are promoting a reuse and recycle theme with a second-hand book sale, free uniform swap and fancy-dress hire. We’ll also have stalls with goods for sale, Animals Interactive, Vibes dance club, Croesy RFC, Gwent Police and South Wales Fire and Rescue with one of their engines too!
We are still looking for volunteers to help run all the fun activities planned – if you fancy manning a stall (hook-a-duck, lucky lollipop etc) please let us know. Thank you to those who have already offered their time to support on the day, it really is very much appreciated.
We are collecting donations and contributions for the book sale, uniform swap and fancy dress, and items for our tombola – unwanted gifts, toiletries, bottles (wine or non-alcoholic etc), toys and games (in good condition). Please bring all items to the school reception by Monday 30 June.
If you fancy making something for the bake sale, this would be very welcomed too. Please remember to label your baking (i.e contains diary, banana, gluten free etc) and no nuts please!
And finally, there will also be a non-uniform day on Thursday 3 July for Croesy Food Share Hwb who will be attending the fete. If you would like to support this cause, we are asking for children to bring in non-perishable food stuffs / items (tins, dry food, cereal toiletries etc) on 3 July, these will be given to the Hwb at the fete.
