Dear parent / carer,

 

Please note the following:

 

• The Friends of Croesyceiliog Primary School (PTA) are organising a Christmas disco for the children on Tuesday 16^th December in the infant hall.  Infants (Rec, Year 1 and 2) will be between 4:00 and 5:00p.m and Juniors will be between 5:30 and 7:00p.m.  Please drop off and pick up at the infant hall door.  If your child has significant sensory issues (sound, light etc) or will struggle in this environment without you, then they may be better off at home.  Refreshments provided – cost is £2 cash to be handed to their class teacher by Wed 10^th latest please.
• The Friends of Croesyceiliog Primary are also arranging for a special Christmas visitor and are planning for him to drop in on Monday 15^th Dec – he will call in on all the Nursery, Reception and Year 1, 2 and 3 classes.  If you would rather your child not be involved for whatever reason, please let me know and we will find somewhere alternative for them to be.
• Christmas parties will be in school on Monday 15^th December – your child may come to school in their party clothes on this day.  This is instead of the pantomime visit which, unfortunately, was fully booked – we tried to book it a year ago but it’s obviously very popular!
• The Year 3 / 4 Carol concert is at 10:00a.m at Pontrhydyrun Baptist Church on Thur 18^th Dec and the Year 5 / 6 is the following day (Fri 19^th) at the same time.  Do feel free to join us at the church. If you do not want your child to go the church, please let me know.
• The Reception nativity is 10:00a.m on 10^th Dec, the Year 1 is 10:00a.m on the 11^th and the Year 2 is 10:00a.m on the 12^th.  There are no tickets or charges, but we will have some Year 6s collecting cash donations if you want to contribute to the school coffers!
• We break up on Friday 19^th Dec at 2:00p.m.  This is our only early finish of the year (so don’t be late!!).

 

So, all in all, ‘it’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas!!’ 😊
