update 02.02.26
Dear parent / carer,
Please note the following:
- Mid-year reports will be given out at the parent consultations this week – if you can’t make the parent consultation, we will send out any remaining reports on Friday. The reports include some assessment data – please see attached (in Key information on the webpage) an explanation of the different assessments we use and how to interpret the outcomes.
- Mobile phones – once again, we are getting lots and lots of phones coming into school. This is a safeguarding issue for the school as pupils can potentially access inappropriate materials whilst at school and share them with their classmates. Carrying a phone also makes them less safe on the way to and from school as they become a target for theft. As such, we are banning smart phones from the school site. If, for whatever reason, your child has to have access to a phone at the end of the day, please write to me to explain the reasons – in exceptional circumstances, we will consider keeping a ‘brick’ phone on your behalf in the school office should you need to be able to be in contact with them after school.
- Fixed Penalty Notices – just a reminder that the school attendance policy reserves the right to fine parents who we feel are choosing to take term time holidays for no good reason! I will authorise absence for one offs and in specific circumstances (work issues etc) – your child’s overall attendance will form part of this decision.
All the best,
SB
