Dear parent carer,

 

Please note the following:

 

• Road safety. For your information, Torfaen have secured the services of a vehicle fitted with cameras that drives along problem roads (such as North Road in front of the school) to take images of illegally and dangerously parked cars and, subsequently, issues warnings / fines.  I have had countless parents complaining about the safety outside the school over many years, so this may help!  The situation has been made worse through our inability to replace our lollipop road crossing if you are interested in this post, please let me know).  If you are someone that does drop off / park on the zig-zags, pavement etc, be warned!!
• We have now replaced Mrs Rowlands in the office (she is, by all accounts, enjoying her retirement!).  Mrs Palmer, who many of you will know through her work at the school previously, has now joined Mrs Hughes in the office – we’re delighted to have her back!  Her email is jane.palmer1@torfaen.gov.uk
• This coming Friday, 14^th Nov is Children in Need – as ever, children can dress however they want!! (within reason!)  Donations direct to the charity We're there for you- BBC Children in Need.  This week is also Anti-Bullying week so, if you want to support this, it’s also odd socks on Friday!!
• School Disco – The Friends of Croesyceiliog Primary are organising a disco on Tuesday 16^th Dec (Infants 4:00 – 5:00p.m and Juniors 5:30 – 7:00p.m).  More information to follow shortly.  The Friends of Croesy PS are also organising a special Christmas visitor during the last week of term – any offers to help wrap etc / organise either event much appreciated – I will forward any offers of help to the committee.

• School absence – if your child is unwell and unable to come to school, please (ideally) email the office on clerk.croesyceiliogprimary@torfaen.gov.uk – this goes to both secretaries.  Please let us know why they are off so we can mark the register.  Alternatively, call the office to leave a message.
