Red wethar warning- school closure
Dear parent / carer,
In line with advice received regards the red weather warning, Jonny Raine (chair of governors) and I have made the decision to close the school tomorrow, Wed 24th June and Thursday 25th June. Friday is a teacher training day, so school will reopen for pupils next Monday 29th June. This decision has not been taken lightly and is in line with all the other local schools.
Apologies for any inconvenience and disruption that this may cause, but a red warning cannot be ignored – it represents a danger to life and is only associated with ‘the most dangerous weather events’ with advice to, for example, avoid travel.
I look forward to seeing you all on Monday when, hopefully, the worst of the weather will have passed.
All the best,
Simon Bates
