Please note the following:

 

• Year 6 parents / carers can watch the children coming down the ‘Yellow Brick Road’ for the last time – parents / carers through the main entrance just before the end of the day and under the canopy or on the grass as directed!
• We have moved one of our teacher training days next year from Monday 3^rd March 2025 to Friday 21^st Feb 2025 (just before half term).  Updated dates for the year attached.
• Children return to school on Tuesday 3^rd September – we finish at normal time today.
• The school’s Estyn report is published on 5^th August during the Summer holidays.  I will write to you on this day with a link to the report and our response to it.  The inspection went really well and we are very pleased with the outcome.
• Mrs Jones and Miss Miles both finish at the school today!  Mrs Jones is going into semi-retirement and Miss Miles has secured a teaching post in Caerleon, closer to home.  We wish them both, and all our Year 6 leavers, the very best for the future!

• Dates for next year have been set – attached and on the webpage.
• Nursery admission applications are very early for the year after next (25/26) -  for Sept 2025 (and risers Jan 2025 and Easter 2025), the window closes on the 15th July 2024 (a week Monday). 
• We finish at the normal time  of 3:15p.m on the last day (Friday 19^th July) – Year 6 parents are welcome, as usual, to come into the school and line the path (Yellow Brick Road!) to give the Year 6s a great send off – gates open just before the end of the day.
• Open afternoon is a week Friday, 12^th Jul at 1:45p.m. – this is an opportunity to look through your children’s work with them and have a chat with their teacher – anything more involved will need to be arranged separately.
